Australian Youth Water Polo Championships 2023

The Australian Youth Water Polo Championships for 2023 was held this January in Perth, WA. Sienna C Year 10, played for Sydney Uni – Lions U16s girls in several outstanding water polo matches against teams from Tasmania, Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales. The Lions were undefeated going into the gold medal match, winning against UNSW – West.

After months of preparation for the tournament, including weekly night trainings and weekend matches, the teams hard work paid off. Sienna’s outstanding fighting efforts in the pool saw her scoring goals in each of the games for her team.
