Students
Today, August 8, our College celebrated the Feast Day of Mary MacKillop. The day began with a K-11 Mass, where students, staff and retired Josephite nuns, Sr Marea and Sr Ann, gathered to honour our Patron Saint’s legacy of compassion and service. During the Mass, students from both Primary and Secondary led the service, highlighting the inspiring story of Mary MacKillop and its deep connection to our house system.
Our talented choir and band elevated the atmosphere with their beautiful musical performances, creating a sense of unity and reverence. Additionally, our primary dancers, from Kindergarten to Year 6, graced the occasion with a stunning contemporary liturgical dance, captivating everyone with their grace and dedication. The celebration was a true testament to our community’s spirit and our commitment to living out Mary MacKillop’s values.

Following the Mass, a series of engaging activities and festivities fostered a strong sense of community and unity. The entire College enjoyed a communal lunch on the oval, followed by an exhilarating K-12 relay, where Temuka emerged as the champion house. Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of events, including sporting games, theatre sports, and community-building activities, all reflecting Mary MacKillop’s values. This vibrant celebration was a powerful reminder of her enduring influence on our school and our collective commitment to living by her example.
