Socktober Fundraiser Friday 6 September
Every year our College supports Catholic Mission by taking part in Socktober. This event is a K – 12 fundraiser so we invite everyone in the College to participate and donate a gold coin to this amazing charity.
Socktober is an exciting way to bring communities together and make a real impact on global issues. By participating, you not only help those in need but also foster a sense of empathy and social responsibility. It’s a chance to engage in meaningful activities, learn about important causes, and see the difference your efforts can make. Read more on their website Socktober.
This year we have added Crazy Hair to the Silly Socks to be worn with your sports uniform K – 10 and summer uniform Years 11 and 12.
On the day Star 104.5 will be broadcasting live with Matty and Gina.
Be here at 7:30 am to join in on all the fun which includes:
- Gina & Matty broadcasting their #1 radio show LIVE
- Waves Basketball offering drills workshops for kids
- Visits from furry and/or scaly friends (previously we have worked with Australian Reptile Park and Amazement)
- Juice and prize giveaways with our street team
- A colouring-in competition run by Coasties Magazine (where someone will have their art as the December issue cover!!)
On the morning, students can purchase a sausage sandwich and/or have their hair coloured/braided.
This event is strictly for MacKillop students and parents only.
