Elite Athlete Program at MacKillop

We have always supported our students with a passion for sports, but this year, we have initiated the MacKillop Elite Athlete Program, which is modelled on how universities support student-athletes to excel in their given fields whilst maintaining high learning outcomes. At MacKillop, we believe that students who are participating in sports at an elite state and/or national level should be given flexibility in their study to support their commitment to their sport and to their academic outcomes.

The Program at Mackillop offers:

·         –Flexible timetable considerations that enable the student-athlete access to learning whilst balancing rigorous training sessions;

·         –Flexible academic patterns of study to support robust learning outcomes;

·        – careers pathways counselling specifically targeting scholarships both nationally and internationally;

·         –scholarship writing support to position their application for success and

·         –profile development opportunities to enhance their portfolios.
