MacKillop making a difference

After weeks of campaigning to raise funds to pay for supplies that Zonta birthing kits are comprised of, our Year 8 JUMP students, and students from other year groups, managed to exceed their goal of $600 and collected a total of $735!

Today during our Packing Day, Mrs Michelle Baxter, Outreach Coordinator, said she would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been a part of this wonderful initiative, “We were so thankful for reaching our goal today, but were surprised with a last minute donation from Choice Flooring Erina. We have such a caring and supportive community.”

Thank you to the ladies from Zonta who came to assist us and show our staff and students how to pack these kits safely and without contamination.

Statistically, the kits that were packed today have the potential to save the lives of up to 10 woman and their children: An excellent accomplishment for our group!

Lastly, thank you to the staff, students and parents for supporting this cause and helping out today.
