Secondary Welcome Mass and Luncheon 2023
Today was a special celebration of our Senior students. Father Phillip shared memories of watching them grow into the young adults they are today, he shared messages of strength, joy, faith an inspiration and wished our senior students much success in the journey they have ahead. Fr also blessed our seniors badges and each received this in closing of the Mass.
It was straight onto the buses for the Seniors Luncheon. Here the current seniors celebrated MCC’s high achievers from the Class of ’22. Awards were presented to the Top 10 ATAR Students, College Dux, 1st in HSC in the Diocese of Broken Bay and Nominated for HSC Major Works. Although unable to attend our College Dux/Captain Preston L, made a video presentation sharing his experience doing the HSC.
Our Seniors were also inspired by special guest speaker, MCC alumni and Motor Sport announcer Brian Van De Wakker, who spoke of passion, determination and always seizing opportunities to carve out your own pathway in life.
Closing the afternoons events was our former College Principal, Jason Hanrahan. Mr Hanrahan gave a moving speech, about the importance of following your dreams, hard work, faith and above all family.
Thank you to all our special guests for sharing their time and experience with our Seniors. A special thank you to Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Mc Guinness for continuing this tradition and bring our seniors together not only for this their final stage of High school but through all our MCC cohorts.
